Cookie Notice

Version 3 ยท Effective 15 August 2026

This notice explains the cookies, browser storage and similar technologies verified in the AffinityAI application.

1. Strictly necessary technologies

Firebase Authentication uses browser storage to keep signed-in sessions. Firestore uses IndexedDB persistence for authorized application data. The HttpOnly affinity_pa_v2 cookie keeps a verified participant session for no longer than 24 hours and is not available to JavaScript.

Session storage preserves short-lived signup/start progress, onboarding state, participant presentation choices and a pending billing selection. Local storage remembers deletion-job recovery references, notification dismissals and the optional celebration-sound preference. These are required or preference functions, not advertising.

2. Consent record

affinityai.cookie-consent.v1 stores the selected categories, notice version and decision timestamp for up to 12 months so the site can respect the choice.

3. Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the only non-essential analytics technology currently used. It is limited to approved public marketing pages and remains blocked until the visitor accepts analytics. Rejecting analytics does not prevent use of the website or product, and Cookie settings can be used to change the choice later.

GA4 measures public page views, campaign attribution and a limited set of manually allowlisted public interactions. Enhanced Measurement is disabled. AffinityAI does not enable Google Signals, User-ID, Google Ads integration, advertising personalization, cross-domain tracking, advertising tags, retargeting tags or session recording through this implementation.

GA4 does not receive AffinityAI account identifiers, email addresses, names, company or workspace identifiers, Scenario or participant identifiers or content, prompts, answers, invitation links or security codes. The GA4 event-data retention setting is 14 months; that setting does not impose the same deletion period on standard aggregated reports.

4. Choices

Accept all and Reject non-essential are equally available. Manage settings allows category choices. A decision is not inferred from continued browsing. Cookie settings remain available in the footer and withdrawal stops future non-essential collection.
